4th Agriculture Subcommittee Meeting of China-Ukraine ICC held in Kiev

The Fourth Meeting of the Agriculture Subcommittee of China-Ukraine Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation (ICC) was held in Kiev on September 1, 2014, co-chaired by MOA Senior Advisor (Vice-Minister level) Yang Shaopin and Mr.Igor Shvayka, Ukrainian Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food. At the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on strengthening agricultural communication and pragmatic cooperation in the future.
The Fourth Meeting reviewed the work of the Subcommittee since the third meeting and recognized its significant achievements.
In order to enhance future cooperation, both sides agreed to push forward the buidling of China-Ukraine Agricultural Park, facilitate the implementation of the joint program totaled 3 billion US dollarsbetween China National Complete Plant Import & Export Co., Ltd. and State Food Grain Corporation of Ukraine, and expand collaboration in freshwater aquaculture, mushroom production, veterinary service and drugs, and so on.
In addition, the two sides also discussed issue on agricultural investment and signed the Cooperation Agreement on Animal Health and Quarantine between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of Ukraine, and the Minutes of the Fourth Meeting.
The meeting was held during Yang's visit to Ukraine. In addition, the Chinese delegation also paid field visits to the agricultural project sites invested by Huangfanqu Development Group of Henan Province and China National Complete Plant Import & Export Co., Ltd.
